a little intention.
a personal check-in.
Meet umi, your AI accountability companion in iMessage. These illustrative conversations show how you can ask for a reminder; wait for confirmation that it is saved. Delivery times are approximate.
How to practice gratitude in a few minutes
You do not need a journal, a long list or a positive spin on a difficult day. Start with something specific that you actually noticed.
Notice one moment
Think of something you appreciated: a kind message, a warm meal, a quiet journey or help with a task.
- Look for an everyday detail
- One honest example is enough
Say why it mattered
Add a detail. “My friend called” becomes “My friend called after my meeting, and I appreciated having someone listen.”
- Explain why the moment mattered
- You can acknowledge a difficult day too
Find a time to return
Try the exercise after dinner or before bed. If you want a nudge, ask umi to check in at a time you choose.
- Choose a daily or weekly check-in
- Share your reflection in the conversation
what would you like to stick with?
After setup, send a request like one of these. Copying it here does not schedule a reminder.
The everyday detail
“I appreciated the sunlight on my walk. It gave me a moment to pause between errands.”
The person who helped
“My colleague explained the task without rushing me. I appreciated their patience.”
The weekly reflection
“Cooking with my sister on Sunday was a moment I want to make time for again.”
a little trust goes a long way.
Personal conversations deserve clear answers. Here’s what to expect from umi.
Nothing comes to mind
Look for a small, concrete detail instead of a big achievement. You can also leave the exercise for another day rather than invent an answer.
The day was difficult
You can acknowledge what was hard and something you appreciated at the same time. Gratitude does not require dismissing difficult feelings.
